CNC Lathe
CNC stands for Computer Numeric Control.
In the simple terms we are dealing with machines that do work for us. In order to control the machine we need a computer which will send signals to our machine. In-between our computer and our machine sits a controller. A controller converts commands into signals that are used to control the motion of our machine.
CNC has dramatically reduced human intervention in machining. It is easy to cut curves or straight lines, and creating intricate 3-D parts is now relatively easy. CNC technologies represent a growing segment of industrial robot systems, they are flexible and programmable to undertake any machine operation task.
The question you may wish to ask yourself before you consider buying such machinery is whether you want to be an engineer or a computer programmer?
Remember always email the seller your questions before you commit to buying
This page of my website aims to bring a selection of CNC Lathes for sale together in one place for the model engineering enthusiast. As the author of the site I do not own these goods, I promote them for sale through the eBay affiliate program.
